Flower Essences and Their Use
"Flower essences work on the level of the soul, offering you an opportunity to respond in new and elevated ways to your inner and outer environments."
Dr. Edward Bach pioneered the discovery of making medicinal tinctures from flower blossoms in the 1930's-what he called flower essences. Dr. Bach used flower essences to cure both emotional and physical conditions. Flower Essences are water-based solutions which contain the essential energies of flowers. They are highly effective, safe herbal supplements that address core issues of wellness-especially emotions, stress, mental attitudes, spiritual values and life purpose. Bringing balance in these areas is a major factor in developing sound mind-body health.
For different reasons, people may have trouble moving through their emotions and the flower essences help to facilitate this process and clear the negative emotional state. Each flower essence carries an energy which works to rebalance and heal a specific emotional state. Working alone or in combination with other therapies, they bring your personal energy into harmony with your soul and higher self-creating emotional well-being. The flower essences can help free you from such negative states as; depression, grief, loss, nervousness, despair, fear, uncertainty, sensitivity and loneliness. Flower Essences can be can be used in many ways: they can be taken internally, applied to areas where one experiences pain or they used on acupressure points, along meridians of the body, on chakras .
Holographic Memory Resolution
"Emotion always has its roots in the unconscious and manifests itself in the body."
Holographic Memory Resolution (HMR) is a mind-body technique that is based in guided imagery. It incorporates both a verbal and nervous system component, which allows quick access and release of the cellular memory of painful events that are stored in our bodies.
We all experience many painful events throughout our lives. Sometimes, because we are too young and/or the situation is too painful, we suppress our emotions about the experience and sometimes even the event entirely. Our body stores the event for us until we are ready to deal with it at a later time. If not dealt with, such traumatic experiences form the foundation of our addictions, anxiety, depression, disease and many chronic pain syndromes.
HMR can be a great adjunct to any other type of therapy. It has been an invaluable addition to my practice of more traditional psychotherapy. HMR is extremely helpful in facilitating the healing process in various situations and with people of all ages. With children HMR is presented as a game that will help them to feel better…and what child doesn’t like to play? HMR has also proven to be very useful for people who:
behave in ways that have negative influences on themselves and others
"The quieter you become, the more you can hear."
Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.
Through various types of meditation I help people to quiet their mind and find answers within themselves.
